Culture
There is much to celebrate about Celtic culture, and this section is appropriately by far the most vast on the Celtic Network.
The Culture resources at CelticNetwork.com are divided thusly:
- Spirit — articles on the mysterious and controversial Druids, the Ireland-Atlantis Connection, and that most vital and irreplaceable of Celtic spirits, whiskey
- Art — discussions of Celtic symbolism and the possible meanings behind the Celtic knot, cross, and claddagh, plus the stunning and timeless Book of Kells
- Music — an exploration of leading performers of one of world music’s most vital subgroups, Celtic music
- Literature — many of history’s most famous writers and poets were born in Wales, Scotland, and Ireland
- Mythology — Celtic deities and worship practices in ages gone by, plus a description of the primary Irish mythological cycles, now many centuries old
- Wisdom — selections from those pithy proverbs and toasts that made
the Irish famous, and that over the years have prompted the sloshing of many
a pint in many a public house
